The Equine-Assisted Learning program would be impossible without our four-legged colleagues. Each animal is unique in its ability to nurture and bond. Building trust and relationships with these horses and animals leave our students feeling loved and valued. We rely our 4-legged partners to help instill C.A.R.E.S.

History: Lil Bit was previously owned by a friend of The Foundation’s when the owner’s second horse went to training. Not wanting Lil Bit to be left alone, her owner brought her for what was meant to be a temporary stay with us. Everyone fell in love with her and she formally joined the herd. In the past, she has been ridden and was also owned by a young girl with developmental disabilities.

History: Blue Jeans was a working ranch horse for many years before coming to Flying Horse. Based on his registered name (“TRR Blue Jeans”) with the American Quarter Horse Association, we can guess he was bred and born at the Tongue River Ranch in Texas. Blue Jeans, Hunter, Maddie, Ollie, and Tucker all came from the same owners; not much is known about their lives prior to coming to FHF.

This does not cause him pain or give him difficulty eating or breathing. Po is a rather shy friend and is starting to come out of his shell.
